Dumfries House Treetop Playpark
In 2020, Dumfries House was awarded £300,000 towards the construction of their new treetop playpark. Incorporating slides, rope bridges and treehouses, it can be found behind the visitor centre on the Estate, to the west of the main building. The funds were donated to the SLCF by Avondale Environmental Limited, part of the NPL Group.
Dumfries House Visitor Centre
In 2019, Dumfries House was awarded £100,000 towards the construction of their new visitor centre. Timber clad, with a pitched slate roof, the hexagonally shaped Visitor Centre can be found to the west of the main house, in a cluster of buildings sitting beside the Polcalk Burn. Visitors can book a tour and find out what is happening around the Estate. The funds were donated to the SLCF by Barr Environmental Limited.
