Loch Long Beach Cleaning
In 2016, £9,000 was awarded to Arrochar Community Council for their Loch Long beach cleaning project. Tonnes of marine waste was cleared from the shore of the loch. Between 2004 and 2022, EB Scotland has awarded £1.165 million to various groups in Argyll and Bute to assist with beach cleaning efforts and marine litter campaigns. Other groups to benefit from funding include the GRAB Trust, Lochgoil Community Council, Islay Development Initiative, Beachwatch Bute and the Argyll & Bute Trust. All these organisations carry out the important work to keep our coastal environments in good condition. The funds were donated to the SLCF by Renewi and Argyll & Bute Council.
